Buttermilk Biscuits

These biscuits were amazing and are now one of our breakfast staples. They're soft, fluffy, and perfect with butter and jam. Try it out and let us know what you think!


4 ½ cups all purpose flour, plus ½ cup for dusting
1 ¼ tbsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp sugar
1 cup cold salted butter (2 sticks)
2 cups milk (or buttermilk)

In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and sugar together to create a dry mixture. Separately, cut the butter into small pieces and add to your bowl. With your hands or a cutter, incorporate the butter. Then, pour in your buttermilk and mix with a spoon. Shape into your preferred sized biscuits and bake on a greased pan for 20 minutes.
